In a late-night operation, Rohtak police conducted a raid in the Industrial Area and seized illegal liquor worth approximately ₹2 lakh. Acting on a tip-off, a special team carried out the operation around midnight and discovered several cartons stored in a warehouse without valid documentation.
Officials stated that the liquor was allegedly intended for illegal distribution in nearby districts. The owner of the warehouse is currently absconding, and a search operation is underway to locate him.
Police have registered a case under the Excise Act and confirmed that strict action will be taken against those involved. Authorities also mentioned that similar inspections will continue in different parts of Rohtak to curb illegal activities.
The administration has appealed to residents to report any suspicious activities in their locality to maintain law and order.
